You know how some scammers will try to trick people into thinking they're getting a steal? Here is a seller using what may be a Chinese-made 1909-S VDB cent as bait, but not acknowledging it as such. https://www.ebay.com/itm/226476836482Reasons for suspicion: He wants to appear as a religious nut He hides the coin behind a clock face He advertises it as an error coin He incorrectly credits it to the Philadelphia Mint His feedback is 366, but nothing is visible (been too long?) He has no other items for sale The auction closes tonight, giving bidders little time to investigate.

What a convoluted scam, captainrich! Yes, that's definitely a Chinese fake - these off-center 1909-S VDB cents pop up here on the CCF on a regular basis.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Yeah I had a friend asking me if his 1965 filled mint mark quarter was worth a lot of money then he starts going over prices he sees listed on ebay of similar coins after I told him I'm pretty sure it's not worth a thousand dollars.
