You mean Mikhail Gorbachev?

The symbol for the Soviet Ruble was PYb, not KR.

KR is more like "Krone".

Also, it looks like the below example of a 10 Krone of Norway, circa 1991.

My first impression was a bust of Olav V.

Yeah, I don't think the USSR put any of their founding fathers on their coins. Norway was never part of the USSR, it's just awkwardly draped over Sweden.

Not just any but the One, the Only, Vladimir Ilich Ulyanov, also known as Lenin. All other leaders and founders were removed from the history and it is only really Lenin to have statues and coins. and I think they still have his tomb open for tourists, gotta bring in the foreign Roubles.

Right, I forgot about that commemorative of 1970... whoops.

I guess Lenin died before he could make any enemies in his own party, which is lucky.

No he killed all his enemies and most everyone else, look up Trotski. He was the real founder then Lenin was very mean to him. Stalin might have been worse for total body count but it just seems most soviet leaders were all a bit paranoid and a tiny bit crazy.

Yeah I thought I heard Lenin exiled him then I find a site saying it was Stalin... the History is Written and re-Written by the Victors.

As to the original question, it'd be worth $1.60 if you spent in Norway. Olaf V looks a lot like my Norwegian grandpa.
