Sorry for the weak pics, I only have iphone to use....there is a hole through the date but six is clearly visible...there is no arrows after the date and it has the stars so I'm assuming it must be 1846....what do you guys think this may be worth ie via ebay or elsewhere....thanks for any answers

Close to nothing unless you find a holed album collector who might be trying to put a holed type set together.

Look at PCGS Coin Facts pages and you'll get your answers. It's most likely 1856 and it's only value at this point is in that of the beholder, be it you or the person who sees your auction and wants to own it.

Hard to tell from the picture what it is, but if it is indeed an 1846, then it's a tough date for the series. You'd likely get a few dollars on ebay to the right buyer.

With that hole, I'd maybe put a $2 over melt on it just because it's Seated coinage but if I was asked to buy it I wouldn't pay more than melt (If I decided to buy it at all...)

1856 did not have arrows. They did arrows from 1853-1855.

Here's a ratty 1846 to compare: Major differences between 1846 and 1856 can be seen in the tops of the numerals 1 and 6.
