I just found a 2008 d with lathe marks on the reverse. Has anyone else found one of these? I tried to get pics but the marks would not show up. Any idea how common something like this might be?

I have a 2010 Jefferson that has the lathe lines on the reverse around here somewhere. The lines on the 2010 are odd in that they start in the center behind Monticello and run outward and vanish about half way out from the center. I have also found two of the 1988 D's but are not the same.
