This one is rough, very rough, but has an interesting story. My fiance and her sisters picked this off the ground of a creek bed near a recently plowed corn field in central PA when they were little kids out exploring. Just think, this traveled at some point from San Fransisco to the east coast only to be lost in a field and found over a century later. I wish it could talk.

Very cool, I wish it could talk also.

Who knows, my great-great grandfather was traveling out west at that time (made it to the Pacific Ocean) before he came back home and settled down in Central PA. Maybe he was the one who brought it back? While the odds are exceedingly slim, you just never know!

I don't think it would have much nice things to say about being out in a creek for 100 years but I'd like to hear it's story too. nice coin :)

That is a great story! I agree that it would be very interesting to hear how the coin made it east and know exactly how long it had been in that spot.
