Looks like a damaged coin to me.Can you say Shill bidding. Looks like he's trying to give the appearance it has value.
All 3 bidders have bid on nothing else but this coin.

You can tell it is a Wide AM by the position of the "A" in STATES and the position of the designers initials. On a true Close AM the "A" in STATES would be slightly, but noticibly, closer to the second "T" and the designer's initials would slightly, but noticibly, farther from the Lincoln Memorial. PMD it is. I hope none of the bids are legit...

Sudz: but the seller says, "Im not ignorant, I've studied this coin for years and this is the first one I've found in 5 yrs of roll hunting, almost a box a day, looked at literary thousands of coins, studied for days on end, this is the real deal bid away :)"

I bet he will have fun paying the final value fees on that when it doesn't sell.

ebay seems to be pulling down less and less. Last time I reported a replica coin that was being sold as a replica coin they didn't do anything about it. I am pretty much done with ebay when it comes to coins.

I contacted the seller explaining about the "A" in "STATES". This in part was the reply.
"Im sorry I've never heard of that? you could be correct I'll check into it,"

To me, the "M" in AMERICA looks accidentally or maybe deliberately squashed to appear closer to the A.
The initials FG also look too close to the Memorial to be a CAM.

jasper62:

Shill!!

Avoid with the PLAGUE!

Check out the "BIDDERS"- a total of 3 actual Bidders all with ZERO feed back on FORTY Bids (LOL!)

and this Seller is also "ZERO" feedback

This thing reaks of BOGUS/SCAM etc.

"CAVEAT EMPTOR"! ( Buyer Beware!!)
