I was wondering if, perhaps, because of the way the German Planchette was made compared to the Canadian one, that in time the areas affected differently during the strike, or make, of the coin would deteriorate a little differently allowing us to tell if it is a german planchette. The thought struck me when I saw the deterioration pattern on this coin. I think because it's so hard to tell if it is or not, people are looking for different was to be able to tell?
Any insight is greatly appreciated!
