Is this anything? Or just a scratch? Behind the Polar Bear in the sky above the mountains...a light spot.

It's the rising sun seen through the ice crystal fog.

Well that's a relief. I thought it was a sign of the Borg invasion coming to probe all coin collectors.

2010 is tough year to find in change or rolls.
How did you come upon this one?

DBM, I must've picked it up in change. Didn't realize 2010 Toonies were in such short supply. Is the rising sun some kind of error? Should I hang onto the coin?

jkol, there's a thread in here about the two kinds of serrated edge 2010 toonies. One that has 14 serrations and the more common 16. Mine is 16. Do you have an opinion on the 'sun' in my toonie?

Wouldn't that be a square sun? Just pulling your leg. All I see are a lot of scratches and damage on the coin, so I'm assuming that it is part of the damage that occured, unless someone else knows of a new error/variety? I leave you with a picture of one of mine, Unfortunately, the sun isn't out today.

I agree, it's a scratched coin.
