It is a little bigger than the size of a U.S. quarter and the details are astonishing.

I'm giving it a little soak in water to get all of the excess gunk off. Pictures will be up soon!

EDIT: Okay after the soak I decided to brush it a little. But A LOT Of dirt came of, as you can see beside the emperor. Should I get the rest of the dirt off? Or will doing so affect the value? Or have I completely messed up the coin?

Distilled water I hope? Regular water contains impurities that can potentially damage coins.

I can't tell precisely but if I am seeing 'bare' metal then you definitely don't want to scrub it anymore.
Personally I like my AE's to be a bit dark in color. You might consider leaving it out in the sunshine to help tarnish it up a bit.
Nice coin. I like the larger sized bronze and the later issues are tough to find especially with full legends and good detail.

Ok, thanks for the suggestion. I didn't mean to do that, but yes it is "bare" copper that I am seeing

Any time you get down to bare metal, STOP. Stick it back in the DW for at least a short time. It is so easy to get caught up when you are cleaning and you can go further than you had intended to. Giving it a break gives you the chance to review what you are doing, before you damage the coin accidentally.
