I rarely venture out into anything pre-300s AD nowadays, but I knew that coins of her were very scarce, and I wanted to get it if I was able to steal it for a bottom-feeder price. I did!

Antonia Minor, also known as Antonia the Younger or simply Antonia (31 January 36 BC - September/October AD 37) was the younger of two daughters of Mark Antony and Octavia Minor. She was a niece of the Emperor Augustus, sister-in-law of the Emperor Tiberius, paternal grandmother of the Emperor Caligula and Empress Agrippina the Younger, mother of the Emperor Claudius, and both maternal great-grandmother and paternal great-aunt of the Emperor Nero.

Good spot

Having just checked these out on ebay they are not cheap in any state, the bottom-feeder crown heads your way for a while

Was it unattributed ? They are hard to come by. Fortunately in a moment of weakness I picked one up 25 years ago and of course can say now (finally) very glad I did ! The Julio Claudian family portraits are quite nice to have. Now you need to find a Nero Claudius. I bagged him at long last this past year.
You need to have a great amount of patience but ebay can be great for tough ones .....

Sure. The obverse is ok as is but the reverse looks like it can be improved.

Yes and no. It had who she was, and obverse/reverse description but no RIC number.

Glad you like it guys! In case you all were wondering, $18 brought this coin home with me.

Didn't want to ask. Bad taste and all that. I usually try to keep price out of the equation. But when you 'steal' them it's hard not to want to brag a bit isn't it ? I would have bid on it if I was not trying to abstain of late. Then again I have my 10 ebay bucks I need to spend. Need to start looking around ! I once bought a Julia Titi sestertius from Antonio in Spain. Nothing to turn heads but what the hey. At about 40 clams it was good to get a 1st century rarity.
