Below are some pics of what may be a 1971-D DDO-001 and right below each pic is a corresponding pic of a normal 1971-D. What do you all think? Only one of the 3 CC markers match up. All help and opinions are appreciated, thanks.

It looks promising, but some of the area looks as if it has been flattened either by a coin counting machine or other device - especially on the "D".
If you look at the "D" and the direction of the damage - It almost looks like that damage exists in the same direction on the date, and on the "T's" in TRUST. This monitor at a remote location isn't the best in the world, so I may be seeing things.....

Being a circulated coin, some of those markers were either worn off or were never there. It depends on the die state that Coppercoins used and where in the die state range(early, mid, late or very late) your coin was struck.

Thanks, Gary, the pics don't do it justice but, in-hand, it doesn't look like flattening or machine roller damage. It really jumped out at me when I found it. I truly appreciate your help, thanks.

Circulation did a number on your coins. I would hang on to it till you know for sure. But as Gary mentioned the abuse it has suffered in circulation makes it hard/impossible to tell for sure.
