Come on guys - there is another fool here, look!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2000-penny_W0QQitemZ140135264812QQihZ004QQcategoryZ98763QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Now I'd never pay twice as much for a coin which is current would you?

I mean 2p for a 1p coin!!! outrageous!

Ooeerr postage is a tad heavy too ;)

Or am I mistaken; it does say it is an early, milled variety so perhaps I am going a bit too far there - where is the photo?

Also the condition is new so obviously it must have been stored specially since the day it was bought.. wow!

In which case, buy it now! must be worth a fortune!

I wonder what would happen were I to purchase this gem of a coin - what if anything would turn up on my doorstep the very next morning?

Oh I can't imagine..

Very Odd indeed. However I don't think it's any different then when people post new Prez Dollars for sale at 2-3 times cost after shipping is factored in.

This auction makes no sense seeing that title is 2000 penny, the era is an early milled c. 1662-1816 with the condition of new. It then says "do not bid".

I've sometimes seen people list outrageous items as an experiment, or as a test. perhaps this is one of those? It's certainly puzzling.

I initially realised it said 2000 penny but became slightly more thoughtful after forgetting this fact and noticing it said Milled - this is the point where I noticed it also said the condition was new!
Ahh.. if only I could see a picture of such a wonderful collectors piece.

He told me it was a test, but why is it still there?
