In my opinion, it depends on what your looking to get for these coins, price wise.

I have a suggestion. Take the time to decide on the years you want to search that has a high rate of errors and its worth searching though.
You can probably break them into aboout 1000 count piles, and then get some ziplock containers and sort by years, much like Coop said.
Sorting the the 1000 count piles will keep it simple..If any are worthy of keeping, you can keep and replace.
Plus doing 1000 count lots will keep from some one getting a ton of the same years, should they have to be mixed up via larger count (ie 5000 count).

If I had to do it, I'd look for the errors, big and small. Then what I would do is as above, and mylar any RPMs I didnt want and toss them in the bag.
It would help sweeten the bag, as dealers and collectors may pay a little more knowing there are a few RPm's in the bag.

My son is an avid ( almost rabid) collector of wheaties, depending on pricing, he may take some off your hands should you decide to sell these to the public.
If so, please email / PM me and I will pass the info onto him. No promises on whether he will buy, it depends on how full his coffers are. = )

I have also seen people sell rolls of Wheats on ebay, and depending on the overall condition, have been doing pretty good with sales. NFString corporate building sells coin tubes (not flat) and the coin crimper as well in bulk. The path to sales is up to you, but I thought I would offer some avenues to you.

Also if you dont want to strain the eyes there are a variety of magnifiers and microscopes that will do the trick. depends on how much your willing to spend, but I have seen a good variety of scopes from 45-250 bucks. Holding a Loupe to me eyes and looking at say 18,000 coins would not only make me crosseyed and blind, it would probably take some time.
