I just had a look at 2 reference works for French coins.
In the catalog "Le Franc", edition 8 of 2009, this piece is referenced as number F115/28. Values (in euro): Good 30, Fine 100, VF 350, AU58 750.
In the catalog "Gadoury", edition 20 of 2011, this piece is references as number 126. Values (in euro) : Good 70, Fine 200, VF 450, AU 1000

"Le franc " uses real selling prices, while "Gadoury" gives catalog prices!

Very nice piece even in this lesser condition.

That's interesting! I don't know how these were struck, but hand-operated screwpresses were common.
Perhaps the was a slight bounce to the hammer die as it came down?

looking towards the references mentioned on following link:

The example that "la collection idéale" has of this piece is MS61!

I would say that this is a F to VF (more towards VF). All letters on the coin (except the mint mark, engraver mark and mint master mark) are very sharp and present. The head itself show clear wear, but all details are still present.
