Those brockages are stunning.

I've always wanted one but never seen one for sale.
I don't know whether I could afford it, if I did see one for sale.

What percentage over market value of the ordinary coin would a full brockage cost ?

I honestly do not know the current value of these brockages.

Can anyone help?

Very nice pieces, especially the Napoleon and Louis XVIII. These usually go for around 500 - 1000 euros in French auctions (from what I have seen). I suspect the first two brockages would be towards the higher end, as might the fourth.

Not to ruin this thread but it reminds me of a gold French brockage being offered by Clark Smith.

Hi gxseries -

Regarding the gold 20 franc brockage, it looks to me like Clark Smith's price is about right. It is a super scarce piece! (I've had some experience with gold 10 franc brockages but never a 20 franc).

Thanks for writing. I had thought that 4000 euros for the set of 5 might be reasonable. Your assessment seems to agree.

Do you collect reverse brockages as well?
If so please post.

Hi Darryl,

I do collect reverse brockages. For most countries, they are the 'tough' ones.

Please see the 2 shillings at https://goccf.com/t/153984&whichpag...rockage+pair
and
