Unfortunately, the 2012 Summer Olympics were not a good games for Canada at least if you measure success by medal count. We could even question what the lucky loonie has to do with the Summer games given it's origins with ice hockey. This really was a mistake by the Mint. I understand non-changing design of the regular loonie, but why to issue the same for commemorative one? Hope, that the Mint didn't decide to keep this design for all future games.
