And now the silver lucky loonie is out too. Looks exactly like the 2012. Guess RCM doesn't want to mess with a good thing when it comes to results at the Games.

Unfortunately, the 2012 Summer Olympics were not a good games for Canada at least if you measure success by medal count. We could even question what the lucky loonie has to do with the Summer games given it's origins with ice hockey.

This really was a mistake by the Mint. They had a new design (as we saw on CP's website) but failed to execute it.

I agree with CC-Ottawa

Disappointed in the same design of circulated Loonie.
I understand non-changing design of the regular loonie, but why to issue the same for commemorative one?

Hope, that the Mint didn't decide to keep this design for all future games.
