I found this 2002 in a parking lot under salt, salt can cause this or is it a fake or error?

the letters dont look normal, its appears to have an extra t in last t of trust.
what do you think?

It was made out of zinc, a very low quality metal, then coated with a miniscule amount of copper, then left in salt for who knows how long. Even with out the clue about salt I'd have guessed PMD. The worst thing to happen to it was to be made out of zinc in the first place. Unless anyone wants to over-rule me with an idea of error I'd suggest get rid of it, you might end up with an older cent that is not as bad off.

Nice close-ups, a little shaky but much better than my snaps.

If you want to see how bad salt is for coins take a bowl with 2 table spoons of salt and 4 table spoons of water, drop a few cents in and see how long it takes them to 'dissolve'.

A better close-up might help, and it may still be an error but I just can't get away from the salt issue.

I wanna see a nice focused shot of the reverse if you can. Those letters look really thick.
