any help would be appreciated and comments welcome! I am a learning neophyte and I am trying to get all the info I can get my hands on, especially person to person feedback.

Vernel,

That looks like a pretty high MS coin from the photos. I think to have a better guess to its exact grade, we would need closer pics. I think jpeg will give you much smaller file sizes, and yield larger pictures without sacrificing quality. Our forum Mom or Dad or one of the moderators will come along soon with more suggestions as to grade and/or getting bigger picks. Regardless, welcome to the forum, and nice coin!!!!

I agree with tights24. It would be better to have larger images to grade from. As the pics are now, I would say at least MS65, though it could go higher. I suggest .jpg pics 384x384 pixels.

The photos are better because they're bigger, but they're lacking light so details like scratches and nicks can be covered up. Can you post some photos of it with some light on it?

Here's a link to where I post three of my Washington quarters that were graded by ANACS and they range from MS63-MS65, so that might help you eliminate some grades?
