I know a lot of "return policies" state that buyer is responsible for return shipping. I agree with this. Last year I returned a coin I wasn't happy with, paid for shipping, and seller refunded in full.
IMO the 'return policy' doesn't apply to a damaged, or wrong item, etc. seller should pay for that. I have a little 'thing' right now where seller wants me to pay for shipping. we've been going back and forth on it for quite a while and I'm about to open some cases on paypal and capital one if they don't get their act together soon
If it arrived damaged the seller should pay for the return shipping. If it was damaged during transit the onus is on the seller,as shipper to make it right.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning... -from PCGS website
The item was damaged, not the packaging. Good news. After I was getting worn out with the back and forth the seller was informed that a case with Paypal and Capital was about to be opened. The full refund quickly materialized.
I agreed if the item is damaged or the wrong item sent the seller should pay for the return shipping. It was their mistake for not packing properly or not double checking they were sending the correct item. The buyer has no control how the seller performs his duties. I wonder if a seller should add this in their return policy? Any opinions?
