I posted awhile back that I had bought a new computer with Windows 8.1 and could not find a download for zoombrowser. Some responses indicated that it in deed existed. After lots of searching, I am still unable to find it. I tried to download the version for Windows 7, but in the process was told that it was not supported with my os. So, I emailed Canon and was told that zoombrower was no longer being supported and I could get Imagebrowser. Well, in the process of attempting to download Imagebrowser, it told me that there was no version available for my os. I have a couple of hours trying to figure this out but have found no solution. Has anyone else had this problem or a solution? I know I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer but this shouldn't be this difficult.

What version of software do you have, and for what camera? My older (24.1) software for the T2i, and even older (18.1) both install and work fine on my Win8.0 laptop.

rmpsrpms-I have a Canon T1i, 100mm Canon macro lens and Windows 8.1 (x64). When I try to load either zoom or Imagebrowser, a pop up says it does not have a version for my os. It auto detects my os version, not sure if I can or how to over ride that. Any help would be appreciated, my old computer running zoom is on its last leg.

It must be a Win8.1 problem because I was able to install the software on my Win8.0 machine. In fact, I had to re-install yesterday and it went fine.
When you say "when I try to load", what does that mean? Did you use the Windows Installer to actually install the software or are you attempting to run it from disk? What happens when you allow the installation disk to autorun, or alternatively manually run the setup program. Does the installer start up and allow you to install the programs? In other words...does the error occur:
1) When you are trying to run the installer, ie it won't let you install it 2) When you are trying to run the software from disk without installation 3) When you are trying to run the software after a successful installation

I am trying to download the software from the Canon site. It auto detects the os of my machine and tells me that there is no software for the version (8.1). So then I tried to go around that and selected 8.0, it let progress to accept or deny screen. When I hit the accept button it gives me the following popup-Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.4.5 404 Not Found
So then I go back and indicate I have Windows 7 (x64) and it gives me the same popup.
Not sure where to go next!

When all else fails, back up and punt. Dug through two closets and countless boxes today and found my original zoombrowser disk that came with my camera when I purchased it. Loaded it and am back up and running. It has no problems with win 8.1. Still not sure why I could not load it from the Canan site.

The software available on the Canon site is upgrade software only. You need to install it with the disk that came with the camera.

I was able to download it recently from their website. If I remember correctly, you have to find and enter your camera's serial number, but it worked fine. Here's the link in case you need it later: http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/suppo...AndSoftware. Choose your OS, click Software and there should be an updater and the application itself. The one I had trouble locating was Digital Photo Professional, but I was finally able to find it on another site.
