US Half Cent Book Information Request

I have Breen's Encyclopedia of US Half Cents but have read that it does contain some errors. The Manley book would be nice to have, but it is way too much money (when I see one) and out of print. Is there something out there that explains the errors in Breen's book? Are the error's in Breen mostly related to die states? I want to be able to make the most informed decision while not being forced to pay close to $500 for the Manley book when I already have the well organized Breen reference. Quite frankly I'd rather buy a nice Half Cent for $500 then pay $500 for a book. If I find one that is closer to the original price I would certainly be interested. Thanks for any help! EFLargeCents Pillar of the Community United States 1304 Posts	Posted 01/26/2014 1:19 pm MV, thanks for looking around, but for that price I'd rather buy Vol 5 and 6 of Noyes large cent books that recently came out, or put $100 towards Grellman's late date large cents. Because I already have Breen's book I can't justify spending that much on something that basically duplicates it other that die states, honestly I'm not just into die states yet, but I would like to know if Breen is wrong on anything else in his book. Conder101 Bedrock of the Community United States 17884 Posts	Posted 01/27/2014 05:45 am There may be some errors in the Half Cent book but I haven't heard of any (there are some in the Large cent book). There is probably so differences in die state assignments comparing Breen and Manley, but I wouldn't call those "errors" AS far as I know there are no errors in the die varieties, and I am not aware of any photo errors.
