His boundless ego made him actually enter the 'Ring' to fight wild beasts and receive the thunderous ovations of the bloodthirsty mob. He has styled himself on this coin as the Roman 'Hercules' Augustus. His behavior was so far out of bounds that he renamed the city of Rome for himself.
