For someone just starting with IHC varities, what books do you guys suggest? I'm sure the Cherrypicker's Guide on scratches the surface on this type.

I would suggest Rick Snows attribution guide. He has an online version that is very informative.

That is the definitive variety guide for the FE and IHC series.

Thanks! Now to see if I can find the paperback version (I know it's out of print).

I could probably put that PDF on my phone but that's not only a lot of space, but I fear the quality of images might be hurt. Plus I like to just sit back and read at 4am when I can't sleep!

There are 4 books for 1859-1909 IHC varieties. The are tough to find at reasonable prices--since they're out of print.
