mgillette Valued Member United States 374 Posts	Posted 01/30/2014 12:57 am I tend to check Numismedia's FMV prices for sets and also the individual coins for a given year before picking out proof sets. Proofs are (generally) always pleasing to look at, but also a lot of fun to examine closely under magnification. That penny looks like a winner in my book. Report this Post to the Staff

Most of the time you will see the coins become toned or air will get to them. My brother has a 1971 proof set that shows this. this one is nice because none of the coins have really started to do that yet. Report this Post to the Staff
