Unusual "Illuminati-Esque" Coin..

So, I was going through a bunch of my father's stuff and found this coin... I would take a better picture of it, but I unfortunately cannot find the coin.. it seems to have disappeared lol.. but anyways, here's the pic I do have, it's the same on both sides.

The letters on the edge seem to read either R O J A or R 0 J 4

It could just be some weird novelty coin or something.. but its just so odd.

oh, and it's about the size of a silver dollar.

I believe it is a coin/medal given to members of the Royal Order of Jesters. It is a sub group of the Shriners. Where as the Shriners are dedicated to giving and public service, Shriners in good standing can become members of the Royal Order of Jesters, to gather meet and where the only intent is to have fun.

@Fioti yes, the center is enameled, or atleast has some kind of smooth layer covering the metal of the coin its hard almost like plastic or glass

After a minute of searching, I believe denco nailed it. ebay should have pieces. I saw many enameled on the net.
Most described them as being Scottish. Sure is nice lookin'.

@Denco7 that does seem to be what it is, I wonder if it's authentic and how in the world my father came about it lol. interesting!

Not to my knowledge, I couldn't imagine my dad being a shriner, he was more of a hellz angel. Lol, as for my grandfather neither me or my dad ever knew him.

It is absolutely a symbol of the ROJ, but as I am not a member of that particular organization, I can't shed any more light than that.
