I just can't get behind the idea of slabbing a single cent.

I have these in my old Treat folder. I think I may have been desensitized to nice looking cents...

Depends on what "cent" is being slabbed. One of my most valuable coins is a lowly cent, albeit it is a 1865 1C RPD FS-303 S-3 (FS-007.5) PCGS MS64RB.

If it has sentimental value to you, then by all means!

Sarcasm? I have been told on more than one occasion that I "don't get it".

Sorry, even in person my jokes can go astray.

Let me try that again, other then varieties or sentimental reasons would there be any reason to worry about slabbing any of these? The 1865 you mentioned certainly deserves it. For these they are 40-50 years old, would slabbing them soon make their value any better in 20-30 years, or just keep them safe and slab them in 20-30 years. Basically when these are 150 years old and I am long since gone to dust would it make any difference, assuming they have been kept in good condition until possible future slabbing?

ok if that makes sense to any one let me know

Generally the memorial cents are not worth the cost of slabbing unless you're sure you can hit the ultra gem grades, i.e. 67-69.
