Yes there is Machine Doubling, but I see notches seperation lines, and minor doubling that's not Machine Doubling. I have ID'ed the rpm, but would like you to look at the photos without bias....Thank you Al

I am not an expert. The mint mark S seems to be machine doubled to me and there is hit on the top of the S.

I agree with the MD on the S... but the "TRU" I think deserves an extra careful look... Also far from being an expert.

I also ID'ed it as an rpm 18 based on the die chips on the T and die gouge in URUM. How about the notch in the W of WE and the thickness and separation lines in most of the obverse letters? There are also minor notches in the NE part of most of the letters.

You can see more of the markers easier with coin in hand. But the die gouge I could see was the real clincher for me.

I'm seeing a completely separate "3" under the "3" in the date.

The 3 is interesting. It shows the NNE notching as seen on other raised sections, but is that a secondary 3 south of the primary?

It must be machine double related as I don't see it on the examples from CONECA on Wiles disk on the three in his images.

That is not Machine Doubling, imho. And just because it is not listed does not mean it does not exist. Discovery pieces are found all the time. Well.....often anyway.

Clash marks? Don't see these in CC or Wiles photos.
