War Nickel for me, but it's always nice to find a Buffalo or the rarely occurring Liberty.

The wars provided a great margin of return on investment, in addition to the emotional collector value.

Actually, I would like to find some early Jeffersons like 1939-D, 1939-S, 1938-S, 1938-D. I have never found any of them and would be happy to find just one of all of them. War Nickels would be nice too but I have found several of them, but not many in great shape.

Shield nickel by a long shot. Even if it was beat to heck, I think it would be neat to find a piece of history like that. I found one V nickel during my hunting which was pretty cool, but I personally think that a Shield nickel would be the holy grail of roll hunting.

Its actually virtually impossible to find a Shield nickel in a bank machine wrapped roll. The reason being that coin counting machines will kick them out through the reject shoot because Shield nickels have a smaller diameter than the later series of nickels. The counting machine would have to be calibrated badly, or have lots of dirt on its sensors in order to think the Shield nickel is actually a nickel and accept it as such.

I had to select buffalo just because that's the set I'm currently working on.

The reason I search nickels is for War Nickels, so I put that. Everything else I find is just gravy.

I voted for Shield nickel, but I would be happy finding any of the choices.

I'll tell you want I don't want to find... the nickels I marked last month but I also found a 1947 and '49 and I know I didn't toss them back... and that was in the first $10

so there is always hope, even with bank rolls

I voted for Buffs. I recently found my first while searching a roll and I couldn't have been happier.

<--- I pretty much did this dance. Woot!

You just gotta love those Buffs!

My son and I have found three Liberty nickels, but never found any Shield nickels. The buffalos and the silvers are pretty common.
