Poll Question
In roll hunting nickels there is a lot of variety in what you can find, what of the following would make you the happiest to find?

After a hundred plus years in circulation any V or Shield would not be pretty. I have one V and have not found either in rolls. It would be nice to find, I might even jump for joy but "happiest to find" has got to be silver... 1.75g of silver for 5 cents... If I'm doing the math right that is about 89 cents for an ounce of silver. That is from a silver stackers perspective but on top of the silver, the quality is most likely going to be better on a War Nickel too.

I'd be happy finding any of the above, but leaned in favor of the War Nickels only because I need a few more to fill out the lot. That said, I agree with ASLAN that finding the older V's and such would very likely be pretty worn. I only returned to some light CRH and although there are some older nickels out there, it's not like it was 30 years ago when you could find V nickels every now and again.

Actually what prompted me to post this poll was the box I searched today had two buffalos and my third V nickel found roll hunting In about $2000 in nickels I have found 15 War Nickels, 29 buffalos (one box had 14 of this total), 3 V nickels and one Shield

I voted shield because I was hoping for a collection dump.

I voted for War Nickels because I love silver coinage but I agree I would love to find any of the above.

I voted War Nickel as well because its likely to be in better condition then the Shield nickel I really wanted to vote for but in the end atleast the War Nickel is still worth silver value no matter what the condition

I said War Nickel because of the silver but really if there was a Shield nickel in half-decent condition I'd pick that.

I voted shield, because I don't have one. out of things I have found, I actually got happy more about a foreign coin than a War Nickel. I guess because I knew what the nickel was, but going to find out a new country coin that I didn't have yet was a bit more exciting. I think it was 20 rappen coin or someting when I finally found out what it was.

War Nickel for sure. I'll take silver any day. I think any Shield nickel will be worn slick and worth five cents. This is just my opinion.

In half a year I have found a roll of silver nickels, 2 V nickels, but I have to say the errors are my favorite to find (as long as it is a good error). My S over D variety is a fun one too.

To be honest, anything on that list would be an exciting find However, we get one choice, so I chose Buffalo nickel. Although, a War Nickel is a close (very close) second and everything else is tied for third.

I chose Shield nickel, because I have found all the others in change. Oh yeah, or 2009 P or D, haven't found one of those either in almost 2 years of searching the change jar.
