Have this in the Chicago area, J. BAUM roller safe (circa 1900/10) dimensions are 26" high & 19.5"x16.5" square - if link doesn't work, let me know & I'll fix it. All original (also unopened w/no known combo). Edited by zookr 02/04/2014 4:12 pm

Would love to find a small one like that, the only one's I find are about three times that size and way to heavy for me to bring into my home.

hmmm - am a mover & a customer unloaded it on me, would consider selling it. Also make a great side table w/a thick glass top on it. About 250/300 lbs. or so -

my advise. Pay a locksmith to open it and the combo can be changed. Sell it to the same locksmith after you see what's inside.

Yes. I buy things with no keys and no combos because they are cheap.
But, Travel cost to here would eat a hole in your wallet.

Don't offer to sell before it's open.
the place I use would have a buyer by the time it's open.

Neat safe!
10 to 15 years ago my grandfather bought a really large antique safe at a farm auction and they had to use an excavator to load it on his trailer. Originally it was out of an old hardware store out in a nearby town and was several thousand pounds empty. He lowered downing some steps into his basement with a tractor and that is where it will likely stay since I have zero ideas on how you would ever get it out short of demolishing the house. I don't think he keeps much in it other than wheat cents and the like but it is really neat and has many wooden drawers and compartments inside.

I would put it on my bucket list
What is life without hobbies and challenges. I would study and buy books on safe cracking and consider it a life's challange to crack that safe before I die.

I wonder what it would be worth with a working lock/combination? I found lots of info on this company online, seems to be a good market for antique safes.
