Updated-New-ANACS-Slab?

I saw this on teletrade. Looks like ANACS updated their slab to have some gold trim on it?

I like it! I wish PCGS and NGC would follow suit, but unfortunately that's unlikely. I think NGC is too traditional with their white setting, and PCGS is too arrogant to copy another grader.

The gold trim version is an older holder. There have been four versions of the "new" ANACS holder snce it was introduced in Feb 2006. The gold border was the second version and used in mid to late Feb 2006.

Interesting...do you know what the other three versions are? Is there a website that lists it?

Yes I know what the other versions are and I have examples of them but I have not made images of them. There is no website tat shows them, but I am supposed to have Writersblock post new versions of my PCGS and NGC variety threads on the PCGS forum. I also had him ask if there was interest in an ANACS thread and there was. So when I get him to post the threads I will post links to the over here. I do believe somewhere in this forum I posted all of the ANACS certificate varieties awhile back.

Quick list of the four new holder varieties

The first one is like that seen above except the oval is wider and the logo is above it and to the left instead of beside it.

The second you see in the first post.

The third is the same but with silver trim and filling the logo instead of gold.

The fourth is like the third but the label is now a much lighter blue. The dark blue made the text difficult to read.

They have also played around with the font on the angled top label but there seems to be no pattern to it. Just trying things to see if they like it and then switching back.
Rest in Peace
