
. The 2 toughest years that I've found are 1956 and 1960. I have over 200 hanging digits 1953 - 1964 and I've got only about 3 or 4 of each of those. There is a small variety in the number of hangers which can be found (usually 1 or 2, though years like 1962 and 1963 can have as many as 3, 4 or even 5), and the placement of the hangers can change (touching further to the right side of the digit, touching on the left side, or in the center). The size and strength of the hangers can be different too. Couple that with the fact that most years can be found with the last digit of the date clashed under the queen's jaw on the obverse and you have a nice little set to gather up. Don't forget to check for clash lines running from the top side of the left leaf up to the "1" -- I've found these in singles and doubles, but so far I've only found them on the coins from 1961, 1962, and 1963; nothing from the 1950's yet.
Such a common type of clash, yet such a large variety of them. Gotta love it!
