1947 Nickel With Chrome Missing...?

wert Rest in Peace 1988 Posts	Posted 02/04/2014 4:28 pm i..Take a look at these 1947 nickels..The pictures are hard to see, but the one on the right looks like it has no chrome on it, but the one on the left does...Has anyone seen this before..?...Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff

I agree the one on the right looks like it took a bath a little to long or was scrubbed with something abrasive or corrosive. The one on the left is more clear on the portrait and beaver (hair and fur), but I do notice that the water lines are different. I know they had different varieties with the extra 2 lines behind the beaver, but the ones in front of the beaver, I can't remember if they were above or below the initials?
