Depends. (Usually) you can get coins at a discount if the seller puts up stuffpy photos, and being that it is ANACS certified I would pay something for it.
I was actually looking at that until the price went past $1050. Right now the price is barely below market value for an AU55, so I deleted it from my watch list.
BTW, are you looking at buying an 09-S VDB? I'm shopping for one.
The reason I ask is perhaps we can coordinate which ones we're watching so we don't bid against each other.

USArmy I just got mine a few weeks ago, I got an PCGS EF45 for $1,200. I fought with myself to buy one of the nicer ones on ebay that were not graded, but I just could not bring myself to do it with so many fakes out there. The risk was just not worth the reward. I bid on quite a few and almost had one, the reserve was $200 higher than my bid (I always ask what it is) but the seller would not budge on the price. I am regretting not bidding on some from Heritage, but it is probably just buyer remorse, I do want to upgrade sometime in the future.

USarmy, I would like to get one, but right now I am trying to finish my proof Franklins,(plus my random purchases). So you don't have to worry about me bidding against you for a LOOONG while.

There is something seriously wrong with this coin and/or this auction. vette1986's images are usually crystal clear albeit a coin's qualities might be somewhat overstated.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I have purchased from Vette before and have always found their stuff high quality and the pics to be very good. So this is very uncharacteristic and troubling. Did they just get sloppy this time or trying to pull a fast one?. I'd pass. Puzzling though.

Well, nobody is perfect...but I can't imagine anyone intentionally putting those photos up on the auction site without some ulterior motive. Maybe, though, just maybe, Vette had a hangover and didn't notice how useless those photos are?

I was not insinuating the seller was trying to pull one over, I have purchased from them myself. It's just that for over 1000$ I would like to be able to tell if I like the eye appeal of the coin. It is also strange since all his other items have very clear pics, why not keep trying on this coin.

I have to tell you that I'm surprized by the pics from this seller ,, I have them in my favorite seller list ,,I have purchased from them in the past and was satisfied with the Item and service . as for this coin ,, the pics are really bad ,, and the anacs slab means nothing to me ,, although if there was a place for the top TPG's it would be authentication of these type of Key dates . But that does not relieve the Buyer from also having the ability to Identify the coin they are buying ,, coins have been put in slabs before which were not what they were purported to be . I would pass on this coin without getting better pics !!Much Better Pics !!! Metalman
