1917 Type 1 SLQ Standing Liberty quarter

Just when you think you are starting to get this grading
down something like this pops up.. (I guess if it were
easy everyone would be doing it.. )

Very weak date with close to Fine details.

I'm thinking VG10 net.
Any opinions appreciated. Thanks!

F-12 too strong for VG but too weak for F-15

I would say it definitely meets the F-12 grade... quite close to F-15 IMO.

I was never any good at the lower circulated grades on SLQ's. But F12 does seem to follow PhotoGrade.

I'm still in the VG10 camp on this one.

I may be too conservative.
I believe the toning may be adding contrast
which is highlighting the detail too much.

However the seller also felt it was at least F12.

I do like the look of this coin.
Your comments are appreciated.
