Based on these pictures, sorry for the quality, do you guys think this coin will upgrade to a PCGS MS67 if I send the coin back in?

It is impossible to tell the difference between those two grades by looking at a photo.. You'd have to see the coin in hand and be an expert grader which unfortunately I am not.. it is a beautiful coin.. Thanks for posting it.

They only have 5 MS 67 Red coins for that date. Based on that I would say no, based on the value difference I would be extremely tempted to give it a shot anyway

You could do a cost-benefit analysis based on the odds of an upgrade vs. the grading cost/$$ gained if it upgrades. Of course you'd need an expert in-hand evaluation to get reasonable odds of an upgrade but let's assume it's a 5% chance and the following assumptions:
1. Added value if it upgrades = MS67 Value of $12,000 - MS66+ value of $2,000 = $10,000 2. Cost of re-grade including round-trip shipping and insurance for a $2000 coin = $100
Then $100/05 = $2,000, so under that scenario you would be worth resubmitting up to 5 times. But the real odds are likely closer to 1% or 0.01. Then $100/01 = $10,000 and it would only be worth spending the $100 one time. Either way, if you've got a c-note to spare? I'd try it once.

Before sending in the 66+ CAC coin through the PCGS Reconsideration Program, do you think I should remove the CAC sticker? I feel as if the graders will see the sticker and automatically assume it is a B coin and is solid to its grade ? Thank you for your advice !

I doubt it will upgrade, PCGS is very tight on the 67 grades.
No need to remove the CAC sticker. They mask off the slab so the graders can only see the coin.

Agree with thad, if they can see the sticker they can see the grade which will bias them anyway which is why theyre supposed to cover the label area.
Like mentioned in the other thread your best bet would be to crack it out, but theres no chance I'm risking cracking a coin of that value. If anything send it in for a regrade theyll remove it for you and grade it out of the slab but the chances are small and youll have to send it back to cac when it comes back in a new slab.
