Hi all , Need your help.

I have brought a £20 UK coin from Royal Mint.

I have put it in a deep box photo frame made of natural wood, with photos, bronze hat pin WW2 medal of his great grandfather.

To send to my grandson in Australia for his 1st Birthday.

I now find out that the coin is prohibited and possible also the medal, to send by post to Australia.

Any ideas how to send, Many thanks

I never had a problem sending coins to or receiving coins from Australia.

On the customs form I put medallions down for the description of what is in the package.

Paula, make sure to register the package. It's a long distance, and registering it eliminates the risk of loss. It is called signed in delivery or airsure in Royal Mail.

Australia Post says that you are not allowed to send coins in the mail, but everyone does even the Royal Australian Mint. There should be no problem.
