I was reading my Numismatic News this morning, when in the Exonumia section I saw there were a couple of clubs issuing wooden nickels.

One was for the 150th anniversary of the 2 cent piece issued by the Delaware County Coin Club of Folsom, PA.

From the magazine:

Examples may be ordered for 50 cents plus a self-addressed envelope with 69 cents in postage sent to Wooden Two Cents, Delaware County Coin Club, P.O. Box 5252, Springfield, PA 19064

I know there is someone in the community that avidly collects 2 cent pieces so I thought this might interest him.

Still need one for my type set. But that is a really cool offer, going to have to take them up on that.

2-centers are my favorite US copper, and I know I'm not alone with that sentiment.
How cool would it be if the US Mint were to issue a commem for this ?

Here is a recent acquisition prior to acetone treatment.
Just another low end example, but an honest one.

Although this is not the Two Cent Piece that I was referring to, it will fill a duplicate post from earlier;

Stupid "smart phone".

It's a nice Two Cent Piece, but not worth four identical posts...btw it is not a QDO.
