I just don't know? What do you guys think. The D is right in the darker spot right above FG. Sorry for the pic its the best I can do.

Is it a ghost fluke or a real mint mark punched to the wrong side of the penny? It is interesting and I never saw one before.

Yes there's one other one under the A, also on the other side there's mint mark indications way above the date. I have my doubts but do appreciate any insite. I have been to the LM website but no luck there finding similar punch marks. On the coin it's self you can see that the back of the letter D, the straight part is more raised than the front.

Not sure but sort of looks like a meessed up die at the Mint. I doubt it was a Mint Mark but does look like a D. Really odd.

Possibly a dropped letter error. Arnold Margolis mention this error in his book. Caused by a lamination from another coin flaking off then pressed into next coin. Making a single error coin.
