This one is going in my type set...in hand the toning is pretty amazing...my camera skills just aren't there to capture it.

Looks nice. For grade; no higher than AU-50.

That's a toughie. I'd put it between 45 and 55 and guess AU50. If the flatness on the head goes as an incomplete strike, it could go all the way to AU55.

I should probably mention that the photos didn't capture the luster....I reduced the lighting to try and capture the color....I think I killed this coin via photography.

I would like to think that coin toned the way it did from very little circulation. I think its higher tier AU like a 55. I cant help but think there is some weakness in the strike due to the later die state. I have attached your coin and circled what I believe to be a die crack into the right ribbon. this would indicate Reverse D which is in a later die state due to the deterioration. can you confirm that is a die crack there? obverse looks to be Obverse 4 as high date downward slope and Dr measurements line up but the die crack is the real give away. Nice coin, always love finding a variety...

I'd give it an AU53. It has a sharper strike than my MPD version.

Weakly/flatly struck coins are sooooo much fun to grade, this is what NGC had to say. I will say I wasn't able to capture the luster which probably made this coin harder to grade.
