not paint, here`s a view of the rim edge, which I took the liberty of scraping, again, white metal. Very hard,also, if I would venture a guess, I think it might be cupro-nickel,the coin is nonmagnetic.

I didnt mean it was painted underneath just the gold color. You might have something interesting there what does it weigh in at?

just found it,with a recent purchase, but it seems light to me. since I do not own a scale, I will be taking the coin down to my coin dealer, and ask if she could weigh it for me ! thanks for your input!
