Compared to the other 1996's I had handy for comparison, this one had some oddities, particularly the "S" of trust and the 6 in the date:

Looks like Machine Doubling to me, does not look like there is any extra thickness and also looks flat.

I agree. Movement during the strike damaged the devices reducing them in size.

Still trying to learn from the knowledge of the many frequent responders such as Coop and others on the CCF. A question on this coin. What happened with the I in LIBERTY?

Looks like it was affected by a Grease Filled Die as well on LIBERTY.
