I know this one is from Perth and isn't a US coin, but it's got a US touch to it as the obverse was designed by John Mercanti and it looks great. Govmint has the regular proof, there's also a high relief version in silver and gold.

Actually, the U.S. Mint led the way with a new product approach, with the 2009 one ounce extremely high relief Double Eagle module. The U.S. Mint applied all of the appropriate state of the art mintage technology they could muster, to bring to their 2009 product. That is why the quality is so high.

It is interesting to note the the Perth Mint engaged John Mercanti to do a Wedge tail eagle design for them.

The U.S. has the bald eagle for it's premier bird of prey.
Australia has the wedge tail eagle at it's premier bird of prey.
Both are nearly the same size. Both are exclusive to their native countries.
