I got this raw on ebay and curious to see how you'd grade it. I'm posting both pics and scans.

Thanks for your time.

EDIT: As usual my pics are not great. I really need to setup a camera station.
Both obverse and reverse have nice cartwheel luster.

AU-55, maybe 58. Looks like some wear on the eagles feathers.

with supgog, I'd say AU-53. I can see some wear on the head. Great coin from my favorite year!

Thanks all, I appreciate your expertise.
This was listed on ebay as "AU/BU Slider".
It's always a challenge to grade most anything from a picture, especially when it's close to or actually UNC, but luckily when I got the coin I was satisfied. It has plenty of cartwheel luster and I'm leaning more toward AU-58 but that might be a little prejudiced. Anyway I paid for a 53. ;)]

I don't see any wear on the reverse and the luster seems unbroken across the eagles feathers, but possibly a bit on the obverse in the usual place. With the way some of these were struck it's hard for me to tell.

Thanks for the confirmation.
Brian.

EDIT: This is another coin I am considering, NGC graded as an AU-53. Mine def looks better than this one.
Do you agree with NGC?

AU-55/58 looks about right on the 1928 Peace dollar. Just check it against the known diagnostics of genuine examples but from what I can see, nothing looks suspicious.

The grade on the 1934-S appears to be in the ballpark but the pictures are somewhat difficult to grade from.

Thanks D0ubl3Eagle,
I read a lot but I do need to study more genuine examples.

"Gezeundheit."

I am cautiously optimistic about the coin, and I think the seller's term "AU/BU Slider" accurately describes it.

The seller's images aren't good enough to draw an accurate opinion of NGC'd grade. Could be; the coin looks pretty strongly-struck.

Thanks SsuperDdave and everyone else. I really appreciate it and I feel good about the coin/purchase. That just about finishes up the set. Now if anyone knows of a comparable 1934-S for sale please let me know.

Brian.
