WARNING: The following is pure conjecture on my part!  We know that the next coins in each of the silver 2014 O Canada series ("Skiing Canada's Slopes") are due in March, but what else might be in store from the RCM? I took a look at the RCM's Press Release describing last year's March releases to see if maybe it would hint at what is coming up this March. Here's what I came up with: - The first coins (silver & cupro-nickel) in the Ducks Unlimited series were released last year in March. Maybe the set's third and final coins will be released next month? - The fourth coin in the Mint's "Wildflowers" series - the Blue Flag Iris with embedded crystals - was released. If the series is still active, maybe the next coin will appear this March. - Limited edition 2014 50-cent circulation roll anyone? - The first coin of a potential holographic "Dragonflies" series was launched ("Twelve-Spotted Skimmer"). Is it time for the second coin? - Another World War I commemorative coin? (I hope not!) I'm not active in any of the above series, so my "anticipation level" is low! What are your guesses? Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. All rights reserved.

As long as we are speculating, any idea when the second bronze (brass) coin is coming? What about its theme?

- The Anniversary of Toronto (as I know, shown on the 1984 Silver Dollar), might appear again on RCM item. Why not in March? - 50 cent Roll - welcomed. Chance for RCM to improve CC-Ottawa's experience with this item. They might issue again coin in the card (5o cent). - WWI theme might not pass "Premium edition of SML", and we will see different design, or just Privy mark. Money Fair SML had a success, looks like this is the time for new one. - Still disappointed, that the Rain Drop Crystal series was discontinued....but actually 5 is good number and 2012 was amazing - good to be the final one. Will be interesting to read this thread in the near future |

The Lake Ontario silver coin is 100% coming out next month according to the subscription info. I really hope the next duck coins (cupronickel and silver) come out too as I am eagerly waiting to finish my set. Last but not least, I hope the winter tree canopy coin comes out.

Silveroid, it may not have been discontinued. Skipping a year has happened, only to have the series resume. For example, the colored 25 cent Birds of Canada started in 2007 with two coins, then two more in 2008, then none in 2009, before resuming again. As to Commens's speculation, I agree the ducks are likely, the fourth Wildflowers and the 2014 50 cent roll are possible, but I will be very surprised if we see another holographic dragonfly coin very soon. Although I did get swept up in the hype and bought one, I'm very unlikely to buy another and I got the impression the demand was disappointing--at least from the point of view of the Mint! I wondered if March might have the next Butterflies coins. These are my opinions, only, and I may be quite wrong about all! I will, obviously, be interested to see what rolls out, and also interested in hearing more speculation. |

i might expect to see the second BISON coin, the eagle series if I remember correctly ran back to back.. and possibly a new glass coin for EASTER, and just maybe the next 1/2 gram gold coin..just my thoughts..

anyone happen to know when the 2013 $350 gold iconic polar bear came out last year? I bought it, but not upon release, so I'm trying to get a better idea in order to try and budget it.
Man this coin collecting is EXPENSIVE and ADDICTIVE! lol

if the 2014 50-cent roll is released I would advise just wait for a bit and you will be able to find it on sale later on.....CA had the 2013 ones 25% off later on In the year....just saying

I have a feeling it will be an expensive month. There will be "NEW" and "FIRST IN A SERIES" coins. The mint will use those headings.  |

We are already on the last 10 days of the February....so the March MC release should be very close.
Maybe someone already has more specific info?
