Poll Question
Which TPG do you think has the best looking slabs, basing it on aesthetics alone? Also base everything on the latest design.

Choice 6 is actually "Other, Specify". I'm in a goofy mood.

Poll Choices
 PCGS
 NGC
 ANACS
 ICG
 PCI
My Milkshake Brings All the Boyz in the Yard

I would have to say to not even think about who has the best looking slab. It like they teach you when you are young. True beauty is on the inside. The best looking slab is the one from the company that consistently gives an accurate grade to the coin that is inside.

It's entirely possible to have a light discussion about the aesthetic quality of the different holders. That would be consistent with my qualifier: "basing it on aesthetics alone".

Obviously the coin itself is the most important factor. But at the same time it's nice to have a lovely presentation of the coin if it's going to remain hidden behind plastic.

I think you completely missed the spirit of the poll.

Since we are talking strictly about the beauty of the holder, I'd have to say that ANACS ClearView is the nicest; however, I actually prefer ICG's Intercept Shield holder overall.

I like the old ANACS holders. So for me it was a tie between PCGS or SEGS, but I went with PCGS because there holder is lighter than the SEGS one with to me feel that the weight distribution isn't even.

ICG, no contest. ANACS' new slab is a very nice design, but it "looks" delicate while ICG's slab looks like a vault.

I agree that the most important thing is that the item inside has been graded accurately and professionally. The point is, who wants a nice slab if what it contains is garbage.
You want consistent grading that people trust. The coin can always be removed if the slab is not to your liking anyways.
What is annoying is a good coin in a scratched slab. Now that ticks me off

I clicked to view results & when I went back to vote, it said sorry, only one vote per person. Huh? I didn't get to vote!

I only have coins in PCGS and NGC holders. Of the two, I like PCGS holders a lot better.

I think ANACS holders are the most esthetically pleasing.

And geez guys, I thought I was an old crank about the "coin not the holder" thing.
