Recently placed order with them for some stuff for my son and I to start collecting. Ordered online then I get a email saying they can't get card verification and need me to send a postal money order. Never had a problem with my card before. Anyone have trouble like this?
Thank you

1---Welcome to CCF! 2---If any vendor told me they were unable to verify a CC (which I used frequently and knew was valid) and told me to send them a USPS MO, I'd consider that a major warning sign and that's the last they'd hear from me. That sounds to me like a stage being set for a bad experience.

When (if ever) any one questions my CC ... Bye-Bye time for them.

guys,, It could hav just been a computer error- Stores computer could not get the money from card.....I know it happened to me twice or more times even by Canada's Mint, yes the RCM......They are not a shoddy organization....I really wanted my coins (Order). so after liike a week of trying on-line,I phoned them up...Finally got situation handled, and got my Order paid for..

They told me that I failed one of the verification authorization tools they use for first time debit/CC user. As far as information it shows as pending in my bank account. Told them just to cancel it. Just thought it was odd because I have had the same bank for the past 4 yrs.

I don't know what supplies you are looking for but have you considered a local shop? I try to buy my most of my supplies local unless it's just way over priced. This way you get your product right when you pay for it.

I did a little digging and found Flying Eagle Coins in OKC; they're only about 20 miles from you on Walker Ave. I checked their website: https://flyingeaglecoin.com/store/Looking at the two issues I'm most comfortable pricing offhand - Morgans and Bust Halves - I found their prices quite reasonable. Might be worth a shot for you - a good relationship with a decent dealer is a valuable thing for a collector.

I was in Flying Eagle this afternoon. I will go there to buy supplies and I like looking around. I'm still new to all of this so I'm not trying to buy to much until I get better educated. That's why I like going in there just to look around and get better ideas on prices and how it all works.

Are the prices in Flying Eagle about the same as online? Was going to order then pick up in person.

I've bought a dansco album from them and storage supplies. I haven't really looked at the coin prices just because I'm just starting to collect. I would just give them a call. Again I like going in just to look around and to try to learn. I'm working on a Buffalo nickel collection so I do go in to compare prices to what I see on ebay. They seem to be right at or a little below Red Book price on the nickels but that's if you agree with what they grade it at. I'm finding out that you can never do enough research and that I'm going to make some mistakes as I start this process. I'm just hoping to limit my mistakes and to enjoy it. I recommend asking questions on here everyone has been nice to me. I just post about what I'm thinking about collecting and wait for the feedback.
