It's a changeover prefix, and not too many have been found yet. I'd hang onto it.

There is no published price for the note yet, but in this condition, I would only expect around $10.

My impression was that it was going to be Polok (sp?) on all the polymers.. but apparently Carney sig was on some of the poly's so... this would make the HBG prefix the sig changeover....

banknotes.. please correct me if I'm wrong.

That's correct. I believe there were about 350,000 of these printed.

I'll start looking out for these polymers! If one was found in Edmonton there's got to be others. Do Carney $10 notes also exist (and are desirable)? I have 2 in perfect UNC.

All polymer $10's are signed by Carney.

No Poloz notes have been released yet.

thanks bill. I always keep my eyes open for these, but the find that still eludes me is the $10 printed on $20 paper...soon to be impossible to find.

canadian., I thought they were scarcer than 450,000. well I wonder what the total for 2012 is.

the reason I included that it was fouud in edmonton is that I figured they were released in ottawa only. it may well be this one was, and made its way to edmonton, especially since someone had to experiment with it. must have been very new to the person who got it.

The 10 dollars printed on 20 paper with 10 security strip are impossible to find. I am quite sure what was too be found has been found. Error happened on BTT and BTU prefix and the BoC recalled and destroyed all of the bricks that they still had for distribution.

The 5 is a nice find.
