I hope this is an OK place for this post.

I have been ogling a nice example on ebay but the price is not cheap. I checked the CoinsandCanada.com website and they have this to say:

"Depending on its condition, its scarcity, supply and demand and errors and varieties, the value of a 1 cent 1936 varies. Below, the details of the value of the coin according to its grade."

Neither my 2012 Charlton nor 2012 Haxby provides information on any varieties. This is the last year of the Newfie large cent so I am interested in the issue. Can anybody shed more light about varieties and what might be more/less rare?

Thanks and

Best Regards,

George

That sentence is used for every coin listed on that site, just plug in the appropriate denomination and date.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Ah, thanks, I just now happened to notice it, I suppose. Attention spans are getting shorter, are they not?

Best Regards,

George
