The only toned coin I own. Just bought this at a coin show. Really wish I could get the brilliance of this coin to show in the photos.

Looks like VF details on and the obverse, and F on the reverse.

I find it hard to believe this toning is natural.

Looks to me like a F-12 details coin. It has been harshly cleaned and that toning is questionable. It's hard to tell from the pictures though.

I agree with the others. Definitely artificially toned and F/VF Details.

The color "sits" properly on the coin, think oil on water, but the colors are unnatural and the way it's imposed itself on the relief and mirrors is what makes me know it's manipulated on there.

It's an educational piece for you now and you'll become that much better at spotting AT moving forward.

Not to pile on ... but adding my opinion that this is a well circulated coin in the F/VF technical grade range ...

The toning is likely as well man-made as silver toning natural colors do not progress as shown in your example.

All is not lost if you enjoy the coin ... the choice for what is collectable resides within each of us.

And this is why I have never bought a toned coin and will not buy another in the future. This one will be gone soon.
